APBC wraps up for 2014

The APBC wishes to thank our members and supporters for what has been a successful and progressive year!

Early in 2014, we represented the interest of our members in the Philippine Australian Ministerial Meeting (PAMM) in Manila, between the Australian Foreign Minister, Julie Bishop and Trade Minister, Andrew Rob and their Philippine Counterparts, Foreign Secretary Albert Del Rosario and Trade Secretary Gregorio Domingo. In the same event we hosted a breakfast for the Premier of NSW to meet heads of Philippine business from SM, Filinvest, Alsons and many others.

The APBC facilitated meetings with the Philippine Government’s Trade Consul, the Tourism Attache and most recently the Director and staff of the Philippines Public-Private Partnership Centre. We also had a member function in Melbourne in October and a recent dinner in Sydney for our members to meet the PPP team, which was a most successful evening.

In October, we launched our new website to become a focal point for member and public enquiries about APBC activities and how we can help you do more successful business between the Philippines and Australia -www.apbc.org.au .

For 2015, the Council will hold a number of networking functions for members and their guests and we look forward to seeing you all at these functions.

We wish you a joyous Christmas and a Prosperous New Year!
