ANZ Global Services and Operations (GSO), Manila was recently recognised as the Employer of the Year by the prestigious Apolinario Mabini Awards. This is the second recognition ANZ Manila received in 2015 after being named Best Global In-House Centre of the Year at the International ICT Awards early this year.
The Apolinario Mabini Awards is given by the Republic of the Philippines and organised by the Philippine Foundation for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled (PFRD) since 1974 to recognise organisations that have made significant contributions to the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) sector. The Employer of the Year category acknowledges employers who demonstrate leadership in removing workplace barriers for PWDs for them to achieve their full potential.
Speaking about the recognition, Mark Woolfrey, Managing Director of ANZ Manila, said: “ANZ is committed to ensuring our workplace welcomes, supports and celebrates the unique contributions of all our people. ANZ opened its operations hub in Manila in 2010 and now has over 2,500 employees and provides voice services, business processing services such as payments, market operations, and lending services to ANZ clients and employees across the globe. It has also expanded into knowledge processing operations for services such as Financial Reporting, Risk Services, Analytics, Governance & Regulatory, and Credit Decisioning.
