AIR CARGO RELIEF FOR SMEs

Global airfreight capacity in Australia has been minimal due to the grounding of most passenger aircraft. Larger businesses have managed to secure arrangements for charters or use of passenger aircraft as cargo flights but many SMEs out there do not have the volume to justify such an outlay.

Freight services Industry body FTA Alliance has set up a COVID-19 Air Cargo Bulletin Board where forwarders who are contemplating chartering aircraft but may not have the necessary volume requirements can lodge a request for cargo space offerings on import and export needs. The bulletin board solution allows industry to communicate with each other to advise freight space availability or requirements.

The FTA will host this free service as long as required. To find out contact FTA at support@FTAlliance.com.au or visit www.ftalliance.com.au/classifieds/covid-19-air-cargo-bulletin-board.
