On 14 June 2024, the Australia Philippines Business Council (APBC), represented by Vice President of New South Wales George Votava and Director of Communications, Events and PR John Tantoco, celebrated the 126th Philippine Independence Day with the Philippine Consulate General in Sydney. The APBC was also represented by members Krystle Ramirez, Country Manager for Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea at Philippine Airlines, and Moss Akbarian, Managing Director of Property and Land Consultants Pty Ltd.
