The APBC celebrated the Year End Celebration for 2024 at the Fullerton in Sydney on 3 December 2024. Joined by esteemed guests, celebrities, partners and members; the evening was filled with celebration, connection and reflection of the milestones achieved to support bilateral trade between Australia and the Philippines in 2024.
The evening was kicked off by Master of Ceremonies Michelle Baltazar, Editor-in-Chief of Money Magazine and a warm welcome by APBC President Rafael Toda who highlighted APBC’s key achievements throughout the year. The celebration was filled with engaging speeches by Australian celebrities Trevor and Steven Jacobs from Guru Productions and Explore TV, who showcased Explore TV’s latest episode on the Northern Philippines – a partnership project initiated by Guru Productions, APBC, Philippine Tourism in Australia & New Zealand and supported by Philippine Airlines and Rajah Tours Philippines.
Jesper Solgaard, EY’s Asia-Pacific Sustainability Tax Leader presented his experience working with the APBC at the recent Green Energy Transition Forum supported by Austrade in Sydney which highlighted the market opportunities in the Philippines. Francis Wong OAM highlighted the importance of the Philippines as the nation prepares to be the Chair of ASEAN in 2026. Keynote speaker David Smith MP, Member for Bean graced the event and shared his experience with the Philippines and the ongoing positive ties between the Philippines and Australia.
